When can I reach you by phone?

Call us ANYTIME at (978) 434-6370.  If we miss your call, please leave a message.  Feel free to text or email as well!

What unit sizes do you have?

Our sizes range from 5' x 10', 10' x 10', 10' x 15', 10' x 20', 10' x 25', 10' x 30' and range from  9'-10' high.

Does Central MA Self Storage provide me with a lock?

Yes!  We have brand new disc locks available for each new unit rented as a courtesy for renting from us.  They are brand new, sealed in their package, keyed differently, and you keep all the keys.  When you are done renting you may keep the lock.  If you would like to use your own lock you may.

In the event that you misplace your keys, we can cut your lock for an additional fee.  You will have to pay for a replacement lock.

Only one lock is allowed per door latch, and you must keep your unit locked at all times.  We inspect all locks daily.  When you move out you must remove your lock.

When is my rental payment due?

Rental payments are due on the 1st of every month.

Will I receive a monthly "bill"?

We do not send a monthly bill; we will send a notice via email if you provide us your email address.  If you need to have a physical paper bill mailed to you we can accommodate that request for an additional charge.

Are your storage units temperature controlled?

No, we do not have any temperature controlled storage units available at our facility.

Are your storage units musty and damp?

All of our units have a 10 mil moisture barrier underneath the concrete that reduces the moisture content keeping the units as dry as possible.

I want to reserve a unit, how far in advance can I reserve it?

You can reserve your unit up to 14 days before you move in.

Do I have to sign a lease or can I rent a unit on a month-to-month basis?

Our rental contracts are month-to-month agreements.  No long-term lease is required.  

What notice do you require before I move out?

We would like 30 days notice, but some circumstances make this impossible.  Please give us as much advance notice as possible. 

Do you require insurance on the contents of my storage unit?

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you insure your belongings that you store, however, we do not require insurance.  You are responsible for the items you store at Central MA Self Storage in the event of a loss or damage.  We have a list of third-party insurance carriers that you may contact for affordable, comprehensive policies if you choose to carry insurance.

Are there any additional fees when renting a storage unit?

There is a one time $15 administration fee when renting a unit at Central MA Self Storage.  This fee is non-refundable.

What documents do I need to provide so that I may rent a storage unit?

You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver's license, state ID, or passport).  If you are storing a vehicle, motorcycle, trailer, boat, camper etc, we require a copy of the title or registration.

Can I rent a storage unit over the phone or do I need to visit the facility in person?

You can rent your unit online, in person, or by phone.  We are very flexible with our hours of operation so call anytime day or night.

How do I pay my bill?

You can Auto Pay, pay by mail, in person, or on the internet using your credit card. By mail: Please mail payments to Central MA Self Storage LLC, P.O. Box 743, Barre, MA 01005.  Please include your unit # with your check; in person: cash, check, or credit card is acceptable.

Are surveillance cameras monitored?

The cameras are recording video 24 hours a day but, they are not constantly monitored.  Management is not responsible for immediately responding to help if required.

Will you move my belongings?

We are in the business of self-storage, with that said, we have a partnership with an EXCELLENT moving company in the area to assist you. Just Ask!
